Riding on the coattails of its initial success, Marriott Hotels has continued its efforts on changing the future of travel with their Travel Brilliantly campaign. On February 6, 2014, Marriott launched a new round of their co-creation platform that not only is open to the United States, but for the first time, the United Kingdom.

Ideas that are publicly submitted to TravelBrilliantly.com through the end of April will be automatically entered into the co-creation contest. This year the grand-prize winner will travel to Marriott Hotels Bethesda, MD headquarters to work with their experts in their innovation lab, The Underground. Last year’s winner Anjana Kallarackal got to travel to England to work with Marriott’s team to flesh out her idea of healthy vending machines. See video above.

The Travel Brilliantly marketing campaign has been live since June 2013 and has seen numerous ideas in various categories, including culinary, design, wellness and technology. I recommend checking back on their site as they update it with videos of their latest innovations and news.

To pick this year’s winner, Marriott chose four judges — Shira Lazar, Host/Founder of What’s Trending, Faris Yakob, Founder, Genius Steals LLC, Chris Baer, Director of Innovation at Marriott, and Anjana Kallarackal, grand prize winner from TravelBrilliantly.com’s first co-creation contest. Herschel Supply Co. and Brookstone will be items included in the three first prize winners prize packages.
