The featured artist this week is 24-year-old abstract painter and teacher Rachel Reinert. Her work has been sold internationally, as well as to the public and even private venues. She gets inspired by the vast world of street art and likes to challenge viewers to ask themselves, “What is art?”.
I was first introduced to Rachel through Instagram. I’m not quite sure how I came upon her work but was instantly captivated by her “Red Rising” piece (shown below). It now has over 3350 likes on Instagram and counting.
