NYC. Punk. Rock. Country. Experimental. Hundreds of bands will contribute to the collective hum of the Big Apple for five days at CBGB Music and Film Festival.
The second annual CBGB Fest is set to rock NYC from October 9-13 with performances from Atlas Genius, Jesse Malin, Bass Drum of Death, with more headliners TBA. Best of all, they will be hosting a massive FREE outdoor concert on Saturday, October 12, taking place within the stretch of Times Square from 42nd street to the bottom of Central Park. CBGB has been keeping the Times Square headlining acts a secret, so stay tuned to not miss out!
Other than being an awesome hub for music discovery across hundreds of different venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn, festival-goers and fans won’t want to miss the U.S. premiere of the massive motion picture CBGB, which documents the beginnings of the U.S. punk movement. The movie features an ensemble cast, starring Alan Rickman, Malin Akerman, Rupert Grint and more.
To get in the zone, you can rock out to their Spotify playlist at 2013 CBGB Festival Bands; or check out www.cbgb.com for the full schedule and to grab your pass.
