First distilled in 1845, Boodles is a British gin that has recently reemerged in 2013. Named after the prestigious gentleman’s club in London, The Boodles Club, it was the favorite of club member Sir Winston Churchill. James Bond author Ian Fleming even based the Blades Club after Boodles. For many years the special gin was only available to club members before being introduced to British consumers and later American gin drinkers. Currently it is the only brand made with rosemary, sage, and nutmeg, and the only gin to contain no citrus ingredients. Breaking down the formula further, it features nine botanicals: juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, angelica see, cassia bark, and caraway seed. You can serve it straight up or in tonic water.
Boodles Gin is distributed through Proximo Spirits and is available for a suggested retail price of $23.99 for a 750ML bottle or $31.99 for 1.0L.
