On Wednesday, October 16th, 2013, Scion celebrated their 10th annual Scion Night at Knott’s Scary Farm. It was not only a night to celebrate their customers, but a night to celebrate their 10 years of business. I was happy to be invited to attend the event as this is their last time celebrating at Knott Scary Farm.
The parking lot opened at 2pm, where Scion owners showed up and were accepted in free of charge as long as they brought with them a toy valued at $10 or more. The same rule applied for every individual in the car.
All of the toys collected were going straight to Toys for Tots, a charitable organization known for giving back to the less fortunate during the Holidays. From 2-7pm Scion setup a tailgating sort of presence that featured various food trucks, fun games, and even a few of their special edition cars.
The turnout for the event was the largest its ever been and all the free tickets were given out before 5pm. Roughly 3,500 Scion owners made it out carrying around 12,500 people. The final toy collection for Toys for Tots was over 27,000. That’s a lot of happy kids!
Once everyone made it into the park, T-Pain and DJ Jeremiah Red rocked the Calico Stage helping kickstart a great evening. I’m looking forward to seeing what Scion has up their sleeves next year.
