Each year to help celebrate the Kentucky Derby, Woodford Reserve selects a charitable organization to receive the net proceeds from the sale of their famous $1,000 Mint Julep Cup sold at the race. Now in its 10th year, Woodford Reserve has raised more than $410,000 for equine and humanitarian causes. This year all net proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Equestrian Program. The 2015 cup was designed in partnership with fashion designer Billy Reid and mixologist Pamela Wiznitzer, resulting in a unmistakably modern Mint Julep.
