The high-gloss finish is achieved using an advanced PVD (physical vapor deposition) process. It starts with the solid metal getting vaporized into plasma before coating the iron, creating an entirely new look.

The TaylorMade Golf P•790 has been a fan favorite for golfers since being introduced in 2017. They’ve been touted as an industry leader in the distance iron category by offering players speed, power, and forgiveness.
A hollow-body structure packed with lightweight SpeedFoam material is one of the distinguishing features. This technical combination enables improved perimeter weighting (increased forgiveness) and an ultra-thin face for faster ball speeds while maintaining feel.
A low-profile tungsten weight is designed to lower the CG and increase the launch. The classic Thru-Slot Speed Pocket is built to increase ball speed and forgiveness on low-to-mid-face shots. Progressive ICT also wants to enhance the precision and safety of off-center ball speeds.
The P•790 Black Irons are available online for $1,699 and will be offered in 3-PW and come equipped with True Temper Dynamic Gold 105 Black (X100, S300, R300) Golf Pride TV 360 Gray/Black. Available in RH and LH.
