The Eastern Express, a touring train that departs from Türkiye‘s capital Ankara, has just launched its winter season. The train travels through several provinces, including Kırıkkale, Kayseri, Sivas, Erzincan, and Erzurum, and stops at 50 historic train stations before reaching its final destination of Kars, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the 814-mile route, riders will see magnificent landscapes and have the opportunity to explore remote towns and cities. Passengers can also enjoy a variety of cultural experiences, such as watching traditional Turkish actors, visiting ancient religious sites, and participating in winter sports.
The Eastern Express operates daily, and the Touristic Eastern Express departs from Ankara on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and from Kars on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
