GMC is taking the electric supertruck revolution up a notch with the release of new specifications for the 2023 HUMMER EV Pickup and the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV. The latest additions to the lineup include the 3X trim for both models, offering customers more customization options while maintaining the impressive capabilities the HUMMER EVs are known for.
Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer of the GMC HUMMER EV, believes the brand’s dedication to developing off-road capable supertrucks right from the factory has led to a new standard in technology, capability, and maneuverability. With features like standard 4 Wheel Steer, CrabWalk, and Watts to Freedom available on the Edition 1 and 3X trims, the HUMMER EV lineup is redefining the electric vehicle experience, offering exceptional on-road performance and authentic off-road capabilities.
The 2023 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup introduces the 3X trim alongside the all-inclusive Edition 1. The 3X trim features 22-inch wheels and 35-inch All-Terrain tires, promising a sportier, more road-focused driving dynamic. With a GM-estimated driving range of up to 355 miles on a full charge, the 3X trim allows for even more adventure in your electric supertruck.
For those who love venturing off the beaten path, the 3X trim also offers the Extreme Off-Road Package. This option includes additional underbody cameras, skid plates, rocker protection with built-in assist steps, 18-inch wheels, and 35-inch Mud-Terrain tires. This configuration has a GM-estimated driving range of up to 329 miles on a full charge, just like the Edition 1 Pickup.
The 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV debuts with two unique versions for customers: on-road and off-road. The on-road version features 22-inch wheels and 35-inch All-Terrain tires as standard, offering a sportier, urban-focused look for both Edition 1 and 3X trims. This setup has an EPA-estimated electric range of up to 314 miles on a full charge.
For off-road enthusiasts, the HUMMER EV SUV’s Extreme Off-Road package offers 18-inch wheels, 35-inch Mud-Terrain tires, additional underbody cameras, skid plates, and underbody protection, as well as rocker protection with built-in assist steps. This configuration boasts an EPA-estimated electric range of up to 298 miles on a full charge.
The 2023 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup and 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV are manufactured at GM’s Factory ZERO Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center, which has been repurposed and retooled with a $2.2 billion investment for EV production. Factory ZERO will also produce the GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition.
