The allure of Disney’s magical experiences, combined with their renowned hospitality, has always intrigued me. Finally, as the Disney Treasure sets sail in December 2024, it seems the perfect opportunity has arrived, promising a voyage filled with new and exciting culinary adventures.
Disney Cruise Line is renowned for its exceptional service and innovative dining experiences. The latest announcement about the Disney Treasure’s culinary offerings only heightens the excitement. From a jazz club-inspired lounge celebrating “The Aristocats” to a “Guardians of the Galaxy” themed dinner and “Coco”-inspired menus, the Disney Treasure is set to offer a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
A Cat-Tastic Piano Lounge
One of the most anticipated venues on the Disney Treasure is the Scat Cat Lounge. Inspired by the beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios film “The Aristocats,” this adult lounge will evoke the charm and sophistication of an old-school jazz club. The lounge will be adorned with hanging lanterns and a paw print-adorned baby grand piano, paying homage to the film’s iconic character, Scat Cat, and his groovy jazz performances.
The Scat Cat Lounge is not just about the ambiance; it’s also about the beverages. Guests can enjoy the Créme de la Créme Martini, a rich, creamy dessert cocktail that fuses cognac and chocolate, served in a French-style ceramic bowl reminiscent of the kittens’ favorite treat in the film. Disney Treasure’s Worlds of Marvel dining experience will offer guests two distinct nights of Marvel-themed culinary adventures. A new addition is the “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix,” featuring the lively duo Rocket and Groot from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. This interactive dinner will transform into a vibrant celebration as Groot takes over, with an “awesome mix” of hit songs providing the soundtrack. Guests can also test their Marvel knowledge with family-friendly activities throughout the evening.
Additionally, diners can enjoy the fan-favorite “Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” a cinematic dining adventure where Ant-Man and The Wasp protect new Quantum Core technology from a formidable foe. Appetizer options will include Abuelita Elena Shrimp Diabla with chili-chipotle sauce and Chorizo Street Croquettes with chili-lime crema. Main courses will feature a variety of delectable options such as Luisa’s Pollo Asado, Enrique’s Port Wine Braised Center Cut Beef Short Rib, and Pan-Seared Adobo Spiced Sea Bass. For dessert, guests can indulge in Margarita Lime Cheesecake, Mexican Chocolate Tart, and Warm Coconut Tres Leches.
A Delicious Departure to Zootopia
For those with a sweet tooth, Jumbeaux’s Sweets on the Disney Treasure will be a dream come true. Inspired by the bustling mammal metropolis of “Zootopia,” this dessert venue will offer more than 35 flavors of handmade gelato, ice cream, plant-based frozen desserts, and sorbets.
Signature treats will include the Judy Hopps Carrot Cupcake, a spiced carrot cake with lemon frosting and blueberry compote, and the Nick Wilde Raspberry ‘n Cream Cupcake, a red velvet sponge cake with vanilla frosting and raspberry compote. Other delights include the Paw Shortbread Sandwich, Mango Leopard Cakesicle, Carrot Chocolate Covered Strawberries, and Zootopia Chocolate Bark Post Cards, each representing a beloved character from the film.
Setting Sail on the Disney Treasure
The Disney Treasure’s maiden voyage is scheduled for December 21, 2024, departing from Port Canaveral, Florida, on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. This will be followed by an inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean, promising guests a blend of adventure, relaxation, and unparalleled culinary experiences.
