Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot has once again joined forces with celebrated American artist Daniel Arsham to unveil a bold new creation — the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire. Limited to just 99 pieces, this sculptural timepiece continues the brand’s mission to blur the lines between high horology and contemporary art.

A Wearable Work of Art

Daniel Arsham x Hublot watch dial

Building on the success of the MP-16 Arsham Droplet, Hublot’s latest release draws inspiration from the movement and clarity of water. The 42mm case, crafted from micro-blasted titanium and sapphire crystal, evokes a splash frozen in time — an organic, fluid form that captures Arsham’s signature “fictional archaeology” aesthetic.

The defining detail? A splash-shaped opening on the dial that exposes the new in-house Meca-10 movement, a manual-winding caliber offering 240 hours of power reserve. Through its transparent sapphire components and architectural lines, the watch transforms the concept of time into a visual experience.

Arsham’s Fluid Vision of Time

For Arsham, the watch isn’t just a collaboration — it’s an extension of his artistic philosophy.

“This collaboration with Hublot explores the fluidity of time through a case inspired by the perfect geometry of a water droplet,” he explains. “The watch’s transparent structure captures the clarity and motion of water, suspended, precise, and always in flux.”

CEO Julien Tornare adds, “Working with Daniel Arsham is a discovery of new design and perception. The MP-17 is a testament to Hublot’s Art of Fusion, blending fine watchmaking and art to create something visually stunning while pushing the boundaries of innovation.”

Though visually distinct from traditional Hublot silhouettes, the MP-17 retains hallmark design codes: the six H-shaped screws on the bezel, the bold lugs at 3 and 9 o’clock, and the titanium deployant clasp. The Arsham-green Super-Luminova accents across the hands, numerals, and power reserve indicator add a vibrant contrast to the otherwise monochromatic build.
