BMW’s 2027 F 450 RR is the kind of bike that makes me want to move closer to a track. It lands in the US next year in a single trim: M Sport, wearing Snaefell White with the full M Motorsport livery. The split-face front and winglets borrow straight from the S 1000 RR playbook, and from across the parking lot you would swear it was the liter bike.
Under the bodywork, a new 420cc parallel twin makes 48 horsepower and 32 lb-ft of torque. The whole thing weighs 390 pounds. That works out to one horse for every 8.1 pounds, and it costs $7,815 before destination. BMW has been good to enthusiasts lately, following up the manual-gearbox 2025 Z4 M40i with its cheapest M-badged two-wheeler. The M Sport kit brings more than paint. It adds Shift Assistant Pro, BMW’s clutchless quickshifter, plus Riding Modes Pro with a fully configurable Race Pro mode. Standard kit includes lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, heated grips, and a 6.5-inch TFT. Track-day riders also get a reversible GP shift pattern and a 31.1-inch seat. It reaches American dealers in late Q2 2027.
