Dom Toretto’s Charger, minus the quarter-mile.
LEGO Technic’s take on the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T from Fast & Furious is a 1,516-piece build aimed squarely at adults, and it does not skimp on the mechanical theater. The V8 gets a chain-driven compressor, the rear-wheel drive runs through a cardan shaft with a differential, and the steering works off a knob on the back. Independent suspension front and rear, two NOS bottles, and a fire extinguisher round out the details.
At $159.99, it sits in that sweet spot where the build is the evening entertainment and the finished car earns permanent shelf space. The LEGO Builder app even has a Build Together mode if you want to split the job across a couple of devices.
I have covered plenty of LEGO sets over the years, and the movie-car ones always hit different. This is the definitive desktop Charger.
