You know that song you hear around holiday time that goes, “it’s the most wonderful time of year?” Christmas probably comes to mind when you hear that melody, but for me, it’s the thought of cold-weather cocktails that comes with the season change. Cascade Blonde American Whiskey has shared with me two delicious cold-weather cocktails that I think anyone with an affinity for Fall/Winter drinks will love.
Below you will find a cider and hot toddy recipe to try out during the colder months.
Cold-Weather Drink Recipes
Cascade Cider
Is there anything better than a good cider? No, unless you have a little whiskey to go with it.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Cascade Blonde
- 3 oz Apple Cider (Red Jacket when available)
- Small Orange Wedge
- Cinnamon stick garnish
Directions:
Shake whiskey and cider over ice. Strain into cup with fresh ice. Squeeze small orange wedge into drink and drop into cup.
Cascade Toddy
Have a cold or just need a hot drink with a kick? A hot toddy is always a good choice. It’s great to enjoy on those cold, wintery evenings.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Cascade Blonde
- 4 oz Boiling Hot water
- .25 oz Honey
- Lemon Wheel
- Cinnamon stick garnish
Directions:
Add ingredients into a mug and stir. Garnish with a lemon wheel and cinnamon stick.

About Cascade Blonde American Whiskey
Cascade Blonde American Whiskey isn’t your granddaddy’s drink. It’s a new kind of whiskey, finished with water straight from Tennessee’s own Cascade Spring. It’s lighter in color and more laid-back in attitude, meant to be enjoyed while the sun’s still up and the day is winding down. Best when shared, of course, because we’re all friends out here.
