Is there anything better than summer-time sipping? That’s a hard no, especially when George Dickel whisky is involved. This summer, you have to try one of these three George Dickel recipes, featuring our favorite Dickel Rye and Dickel No. 12 whisky.
George Dickel Recipes
Eastern Swizzlin’
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Dickel Rye
- ¾ oz lemon juice
- ¾ oz simple syrup
- 10 mint leaves
- ½ oz Cabernet Sauvignon
- Ice: crushed
- Garnish: mint top
- Glass: Collins
Directions:
Add mint leaves to the bottom of the glass, followed by lemon, simple, and rye. Muddle. Add crushed ice until glass is half full, swizzle. Top with more crushed ice to resemble a snowcone. Finish with ½ ounce of Cabernet Sauvignon, and garnish with mint top.
Highball Summer
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Dickel No. 12
- ¾ oz dry vermouth
- ¼ oz Palo Cortado sherry
- 3 dashes Rhubarb bitters
- Coconut soda
- Ice: KD
- Garnish: Lemon Twist
- Glass: Highball
Directions:
Add ice cubes to glass. Dash bitters. Add sherry, vermouth, and Dickel slowly to the side of ice. Top with coconut soda. Stir briefly. Peel and trim lemon twist, express, and garnish.
Peach Machine
Ingredients:
- ¾ oz Dickel No. 12
- ¾ oz Amaro
- ¾ oz Bianco Aperitivo
- ¾ oz lemon
- 5 peach slices (peeled)
- Garnish: 3 peach slices fanned like below:
- Glass: Rocks
Directions:
Add ingredients to blender with one cup of ice. Blend until smooth. Garnish with three peach slices slightly fanned.
