Johnnie Walker’s global program, Blenders’ Batch receives its latest U.S release with a special Wine Cask Blend. The unique blend was started by Aimée Gibson, a member of the Johnnie Walker blending team, who took on the project back in 2015. She was able to produce this extraordinary whisky by maturing it in wine casks, an experimental technique inspired by Johnnie Walker Master Blender Jim Beveridge nearly a decade ago.
The light and vibrant blend comprises of various whiskies matured in wine casks. A few malt whiskies from the Highland (Clynelish) and some from Speyside (Roseilse). It also includes smooth, buttery grain whiskies, like those from Cameronbridge.
