Confession: since being held up in quarantine I have consumed more alcoholic beverages than I would care to mention. Though it isn’t all that shameful since I have learned how to make new cocktails in this time of boredom and uncertainty.
What’s the next cocktail you wonder? Bachelor in Paradise star, Wells Adams, shares his spicy Mojito recipe he submitted for BACARDI Rum‘s #BacardiMojitoRemix contest on Instagram.
Wells Adam’s Remixed Spicy Mojito
Wells Adam’s used the key ingredients found in a Mojito and kicked it up a notch with the addition of diced jalapeños.
Ingredients:
- BACARDIì Superior
- Lime Juice
- Mint Leaves
- Diced Jalapeños
- Simple Syrup
- Soda water
Directions:
Add the diced jalapeños and mint leaves and gently muddle. Add BACARDÍ Superior, lime juice, simple syrup and mix the ingredients with a bar spoon. Fill with crushed ice and stir once again. Add club soda and garnish with mint.

The winning Mojito remix and at-home mixologist behind the recipe will receive an exclusive virtual BACARDÍ rum happy hour DJ’d by MICK!
Whether it’s the use of an exotic hard-to-find ingredient or an unexpectedly beautiful garnish, BACARDÍ Rum and Global Rum Master, David Cid are on the hunt to find the top eight most-inventive mojito recipes from across the nation.
Once the finalists are selected, Instagrammers will have the chance to vote for their favorite mojito recipe on the @bacardiusa Instagram channel from May 25th–27th, but only one inventive libation will win.
