My brother has two adorable daughters, which makes them my adorable nieces. I never really knew how much I would want to spoil a child until I met my first niece, AJ. I get the biggest kick out of her opening presents I buy for her. It’s as if I forgot how much joy a gift can bring to someone until I see the smile on her face. I’ve always said I would never spoil my own children but never said I wouldn’t spoil someone else’s. That being said, I still want my nieces to have educated toys. The list of toys below is a mix of educational and fun that will surely make you the coolest uncle (or aunt) around. Take a look!
Little Snowie 2 Ice Shaver
If you’re like me, then the sound of a snow cone excites you. Just imagine how these majestical icy treats excite the little ones. The Little Snowie 2 Ice Shaver is a great gift for all ages. Whether you’re hosting a party or just relaxing on the weekend, the Snowie 2 is there for when you want a cold treat. It’s touted as the fastest home shaver on the planet and uses the ice cubes right out of your freezer. I can’t say for sure if it’s the fastest on the planet, but can tell you from my personal experience that it’s fast!
Pete the Cat – The Missing Cupcakes Game
Join Pete the Cat and his friends as they work together to get the missing cupcakes back from Grumpy Toad. Players collect colorful cupcakes as they sing songs, act out physical activities, and identify favorite animals, foods, and words in this fun board game. The game revolves around luck, memory, and cooperation, so you can be sure kids will have a great time playing with friends, while they practice their memory and social skills.
Learning Resources Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab
These are the types of Science-based toys I wish I had growing up. I probably would have liked Science class a bit more. Extract the Beaker Creatures from their mysterious science reactor pods with the Beaker Creatures Liquid Reactor Super Lab. There are 35 mysterious Beaker Creatures to find and collect, including the limited edition 24-Carat Creatures. It’s a lot of fun for you and the little ones.
Learning Resources Botley The Coding Robot
Meet Botley, the coding robot. He’s on a mission to teach your little ones coding in an easy, friendly way. Children as young as 5 can learn to code with Botley, and with his advanced features, he can grow with them for many years to come.
I’m excited to gift Botley to my nieces. Straight out of the box he is ready to have kids coding in minutes. Explore Botley’s advanced features and code him for up to 80 steps, with 40 more you can discover. He can also follow looping commands or be programmed to go around objects with If/Then logic.
LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall Building
I’ve been obsessed with Harry Potter since reading The Sorcerer’s Stone in middle school. When I found out I would be an uncle, I eagerly waited for the day when I could introduce them to the magic that is Harry Potter (and Harry Potter toys). The Harry Potter Great Hall Building Kit from LEGO is the perfect toy to get kids fan of the series. Since I won’t be caught dead with this LEGO set in my house since, you know, I’m a grown man, I figured I’d get it for my nieces who I can help build it. I’d say that’s a win-win.
