What annoys you the most when driving? Is it the lack of turn signal or perhaps the driver that parks over the line? Whatever it may be, we can all agree that if everyone obeyed the rules of the road the entire driving experience as whole would be far more safe.

Progressive’s latest initiative is ‘Drive Safe Today Day‘, a day we all pledge to focus on what’s important while driving. They made a user-friendly site for both computer and mobile users to create their pledge, where you will have the opportunity to customize your pledge to your liking. For example, here’s mine:

I want to make the roads safer for all. So, on Drive Safe Today Day on September 3rd, I pledge to stick to the speed limits and make mom proud. I will give road rage the day off. Furthermore, I promise not to get upset when I have to slow down for others. I will not throw caution to the wind. I will drive safe!

The areas that are marked bold is where I was able to choose my own pledge answer. You can choose from 8 different options each time, so not everyone’s pledge will be the same. Once you’re done with your personalized pledge, share it on Twitter and Facebook to show how on 9/3 you plan on making the roads safer.

Disclosure: I’ve teamed up with Progressive for their Drive Safe Today initiative. Although I’ve been compensated for my post, the thoughts and ideas are my own.
