Continuing their performance development, adidas has released their miCoach SMART BALL ($300), a Bluetooth and app enabled soccer ball that integrates sensor technology. This allows for data collection for a variety of on-field scenarios like free- and corner-kicks. By calculating data on how hard the ball has been kicked, the adidas miCoach SMART BALL is able to track flight trajectories which then gets transferred to the app on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The player is now able to use this data to help in training and improve their overall kick technique. The miCoach SMART BALL is now available exclusively at adidas.
