Nike built the 24.7 to do the job of a recovery slide in something you can actually leave the house in. It’s a slip-on, no laces, aimed at rest days and the walk to and from the gym. The midsole is stacked foam using what Nike calls bellowed compression, the idea being springy without turning mushy, and it sits on a foam outsole with pods underneath to soak up impact. The upper mixes real and synthetic leather over a seamless knit lining brushed on the inside, with a high sidewall that wraps the foot as it flexes. Sizing is unisex, M6/W7.5 through M15/W16.5.
Two colorways at launch: Cream II/Phantom/Sail/Light Orewood Brown and Black/Anthracite/Black. It shares the 24.7 name with Nike’s ImpossiblySoft hoodie and long-sleeve top, and it runs $45 over the brand’s Mind 001 pregame mule, which is roughly what the closed upper buys you.
