Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Oxblood

Oris puts its fan-favorite oxblood dial on the modern 40mm Big Crown Pointer Date. Calibre 754 automatic, H-link bracelet, $2,400, available now.

Oris finally gave its modern Big Crown Pointer Date, the brand’s classic pilot’s watch, the dial its fans have been asking for. The new Oxblood takes the deep, wine-dark red that made the classic coin-edge Big Crown a favorite in 2019. Oris puts it on the contemporary 40mm line it overhauled at Watches and Wonders 2025. It has a smooth polished bezel, clean pencil hands, and a sporty H-link steel bracelet. Against the oxblood dial, the applied Arabic numerals glow with Super-LumiNova. The signature pointer hand sweeps the 31-date scale around the dial edge, its red arrow tip standing out against the white track. Inside is the Calibre 754 automatic, a Sellita-based movement with a 41-hour power reserve. Oris’s signature red rotor shows through the caseback. At 40mm across, 12mm thick, and water resistant to 50 meters, it is sized for everyday wear. It joins the permanent collection rather than a limited run, so there is no rush to grab one. The Big Crown Pointer Date Oxblood is available now from Oris for $2,400. That is nearly half the price of the in-house Calibre 403 version.
