I have my eye on the Salomon x The Broken Arm Grolle, a cracked leather mid-cut boot that already looks lived in, right down to a Mud Contagrip sole built for messy ground. Grolle is French slang for a beat-up shoe, and Salomon and The Broken Arm lean into that worn in idea instead of polishing it away, which is exactly why it appeals to me as a rugged mid-cut boot with a worn-in look for everyday wear. I have not worn or tested this boot yet, so I am judging it from the design and the story alone, and both feel refreshingly honest, with a Parisian twist that pairs easily with jeans and a simple jacket. It reminds me of the Salomon mood I liked in my recent look at the Kith for Salomon Winter 2026 Collection, only a little rougher around the edges and easier to reach for every day. The Grolle is $210 at Salomon.

Salomon and The Broken Arm turn cracked leather and a Mud Contagrip sole into the Grolle, a $210 mid-cut boot named for French slang for a beat-up shoe.
