Most gaming keyboards look like they belong in a control room. The Keychron K8 HE All-Wood Special Edition goes the other way: a walnut wood frame and bottom case with CNC-machined aluminum side panels, with unique grain on every board. Underneath, it is the same magnetic-switch K8 HE, with pre-lubed Gateron double-rail magnetic Nebula switches that let you set each key’s actuation point from 0.2 to 3.8mm in 0.1mm steps, plus Rapid Trigger. The 80% tenkeyless layout keeps the function and navigation keys while dropping the number pad, and deep-brown OSA keycaps finish the look. Connectivity covers 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.2 for up to three devices, and wired USB-C, with a 1,000Hz polling rate and a 4,000mAh battery rated up to 110 hours with the RGB off. QMK firmware and the browser-based Keychron Launcher handle remapping and macros. It works with Mac, Windows, and Linux, and Mac keycaps ship in the box. It lists at $199.99, but one note: Keychron’s site shows the All-Wood edition sold out as of this writing, so this one is a restock watch.
