If there are two things I love, it’s cruising and technology. When you put them together, I’m a happy camper. Or in this case, a happy cruiser. Carnival Cruise Lines has recently pushed out an update to the Carnival Cruise Hub App to allow pre-cruise purchasing as the expansion of their ‘Pizza Anywhere’ feature.
New Pre-Cruise Functionality
This huge app upgrade allows guests to control their booking, complete their online check-in, and purchase items and experiences before their departure. Some of which include shore excursions, specialty dining reservations, Wi-Fi packages, Fun Shop orders, and of course, spa treatments.
Expanded ‘Pizza Anywhere’ Feature
If you’ve never been on a Carnival Cruise before, then you probably aren’t aware of their 24/7 pizza. It’s definitely always a highlight for me when I’m cruising with Carnival. Now, what was once only available on Carnival Horizon and Carnival Vista, the Hub App’s mega-popular “Pizza Anywhere” feature has been added to nine other ships, including Carnival Victory, Carnival Magic, Carnival Breeze, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Dream, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Glory, Carnival Ecstasy, and Carnival Liberty.
So how does the “Pizza Anywhere” function work? Guests are able to order pizza to anywhere on the ship via the Hub App. To place an order, just click on the ship’s map to mark your location, take a selfie to identify yourself to staff, and select your desired pizza and toppings. Five hand-tossed pizzas are available: Margherita, Funghi, prosciutto, pepperoni, and quattro formaggi.
Pizzas are cooked to order and delivered hot to the guest’s location on board. Cost is $5 per pizza and automatically charged to guests’ Sail & Sign shipboard accounts. In addition to pizza delivery via the app, Carnival is now working towards a pilot to expand “Pizza Anywhere” deliveries with the addition of beverages. It should be noted that the 24/7 pizza is free if you walk yourself over to order it yourself.
