Princess Cruises Is Now Inside Claude. Here’s How to Connect It.

Princess Cruises just became a native connector in Claude. Here's how to add it, plus the 5 tests I'd run before trusting it with a real booking.

Princess Cruises‘ PR team emailed me this morning with something I did not expect: the Princess app is now a native plugin inside Claude. Not a chatbot on their website. Inside the AI assistant itself.

Use Claude to book your cruise vacation with Princess Cruises

Here is what that means in practice. You open Claude’s settings, head to the Connectors section, search for Princess Cruises, and add it. Then you just talk. “Find 7-day Caribbean sailings out of Fort Lauderdale” is their example, and it beats clicking through date pickers and port filters on princess.com.

The setup takes about two minutes. Sign in to Claude on a plan that supports connectors, go to Customize then Connectors then Discover, find Princess Cruises, add it, and approve the tools when it asks. In a chat, make sure the connector is switched on, then ask away. Same steps in the mobile app through the plus button.

I build AI tools for a living, so let me tell you why I am paying attention. Every travel company spent the last ten years trying to drag you into their chatbot. Princess just went the other direction and showed up where people already chat. The interface for booking travel is moving into the conversation, and a major cruise line just planted a flag there.

Testing Claude with Princess Cruises Connector

Now the honest part: I have not put it through its paces yet. Before I trust it with real money, here is my test list.

  1. The basic search: does it return real sailings with dates and ships, or vague suggestions?
  2. The price check: are the fares it quotes the same ones on princess.com?
  3. The comparison: ask for the cheapest balcony in January and see if it can actually reason across options.
  4. The handoff: when I say book it, where do I land?
  5. The fine print: ask what is not included and see if it tells the truth.

I am running those this week. If you beat me to it, tell me what it got wrong. I have got the line’s whole fleet ranked by age here if you want to know which ship you would end up on.
