The Big Game is right around the corner and I have been busy planning out what I will be bringing to the party I will be attending. Each year my buddy puts together a heck of a gathering for game day and I always bring a plethora of snacks to share with his guests. To be honest, if I didn’t, I don’t know who would, so it sort-of falls on me to provide treats.
This year, I’m trying a few new recipes and can’t wait to see what people think of them. I received a slew of different products to use to create said recipes from my friends at Babbleboxx. Here is what I will be bringing to this year’s big game party:
Braised sausage with Big Lou’s Spicy Onion Sauce
I had to try this recipe I found from Big Lou’s Onion Sauce. There’s nothing better than brats and onions, so I figured why not try one of their delicious onion sauces with my favorite bratwurst. For this particular recipe, I chose to use Big Lou’s Spicy Onion Sauce rather than their sweet onion sauce. I choose spicy products whenever I can, but if the sausage was already spicy then I would have definitely used their sweet variety.
Other ideas to use Big Lou’s Onion Sauce with for the big game is on top of nachos or in a French onion dip. Sounds delicious, right?

Garlic and Ginger from Dorot Gardens
You know that thing you don’t realize you need until it gets put in front of you? That’s exactly how I felt when discovering Dorot Gardens Garlic and Dorot Gardens Ginger. These pre-portioned wonders have completely changed the way I cook. They stay fresh in your freezer until you need them, with a two-year shelflife, thanks to their simple pop-out tray design. In all honesty, I think they are the greatest kitchen hack I have ever seen.
Each Dorot Gardens back comes with 20 cubes, which equates to 1 tsp for every 1 cube. For the potato salad I made to go along with the bratwursts, I ended up using 3 cubes of Dorot Gardens Garlic and 2 cubes of Dorot Gardens Ginger. The results were amazing!
The best part of using these pre-packaged cubes is the zero prep and zero clean-up. No peeling necessary, so it’s just a simple pop in the pan and start cooking. As much as I love to cook, I’ve always hated the cleaning up and most of the prep work. Dorot Gardens saves me from all of that.
Tortilla Chips and Chunky Salsa from Late July
A staple for any game day has to be tortilla chips and salsa. I’ve recently had the pleasure of trying Late July at a party my friend was throwing, so I was happy to find out it would be in this month’s Babbleboxx. As far as organic snacks go these are some of my favorites. They first start off with fresh organic whole white corn, finely ground and authentically cooked to be thin & crispy. Homemade toasted ravioli with RAGÙ Roasted Garlic Sauce
Have you ever had a toasted ravioli before? My wife first introduced these delicious snacks to me when I was visiting her family for the first time in St. Louis. They’re famous there and I quickly learned why. THEY’RE ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
I learned how to make them homemade using 4C Breadcrumbs, with the perfect blend of herbs and spices. It adds an amazing crunch and texture to your favorite foods.
