2027 Honda Rebel 500 Gets E-Clutch Shifting and a TFT Display

The 2027 Honda Rebel 500 adds clutchless E-Clutch shifting, a 3.5-inch TFT display, and fresh colors. US pricing TBA; the 2026 started at $6,799.

Honda keeps spreading its E-Clutch tech across the lineup, and now it has reached the Rebel 500. The 2027 CMX500 Rebel (announced on Honda’s UK site, so a US version should follow) lets you shift without ever touching the clutch lever: tap the gear lever and the clutch pulls in automatically, then releases. The lever is still there if you want it, but you do not need it.

It is not the only upgrade. The Rebel 500 also gets a sharp 3.5-inch TFT display, LED lighting, and new paint: Candy Rosy Red on the S edition, plus Matte Gunpowder Black and a new Matte Fresco Brown.

The formula stays the same underneath: a 471cc parallel-twin making 45.6 bhp, a low 27.2-inch seat height, and 421 pounds. Pricing is not announced yet, but with the 2026 starting at $6,799, expect the 2027 to nudge past $7,000.
