NESCAFÉ Instant Coffee

NESCAFÉ challenged me to change up my normal coffee routine and replace it with NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice for one week. At first I thought, you have to be crazy. Nobody, I mean nobody messes with my morning cup of coffee. I, however, learned pretty quickly that instant coffee isn’t all that bad. In fact, it’s actually pretty good.

In the mail I received a kit featuring a 5-pack of NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice French Roast, a Taster’s Choice cup & spoon, and a gift certificate to pickup a jar of NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice. If I’m being honest, I put the latter aside before test driving the packets first, because I had my doubts. Silly me.

Along with the kit I received there were three recipes to try using the Taster’s Choice Instant Coffee: Creamy Caramel Latte, Iced Coffee, and Chai Coffee – which you can find my two favorites at the end of this post.

Bean to Cup

You might be surprised to learn the process that goes into creating NESCAFÉ instant coffee. I know I was. It starts with responsibly sourced beans from the finest coffee growing regions in the world that are carefully roasted and then brewed with sniper precision. The coffee is then flash frozen to lock-in the flavor and aroma of a perfectly brewed coffee.

I’m not quite sure what took me so long to try instant coffee, but I’m glad I finally did. The convenience of it alone is worth giving it a try.

Instant Coffee Recipes

Creamy Caramel Latte

Ingredients:

  • 4 tsp. NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice House Blend
  • 1 can (12 fl. oz.) Nestlé Carnation Evaporated Lowfat 2% Milk
  • 2 to 4 tbsp. caramel topping plus additional for drizzle
  • 1 cup hot water

Directions:

Combine evaporated milk and caramel topping in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for 2 minutes or until piping hot. Whisk vigorously until frothy on top. Combine water and coffee granules in small pitcher; stir in dissolve. Divide between 3 mugs. Gently power milk mixture evenly into each mug, spooning foam on top. Thinly drizzle foam with additional caramel topping, if desired.

Iced Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice House Blend
  • 2 tbsp. hot water
  • ice cubes
  • 1 cup milk of choice or cold water
  • Granulated sugar or sweetener of choice (optional)
  • 1 cup lowfat milk

Directions:

Combine hot water and coffee granules in tall glass; stir until coffee is dissolved. Fill glass with ice. Pour milk or cold water over ice; stir in combine. Add sugar to taste.
