The way you choose to celebrate Memorial Day weekend is up to you, just make sure it’s with the perfect margarita. And I’m not talking about the sugary, tooth numbing cocktail you get when you use premade margarita mix, because that’s just nasty. Try Tommy’s Margarita from my partner Olmeca Altos Tequila.
Tommy’s Margarita – The Perfect Margarita Recipe
When I think about what makes the “Perfect Margarita,” I think about using fresh ingredients and premium tequila. The two alone can make a delicious cocktail, but to add the sugariness a margarita calls for, you need to add something sweet. Tommy’s Margarita uses agave nectar to get the job done.
Ingredients:
- 2 Parts Altos Tequila Plata
- 1 Part Fresh Lime Juice
- ½ Part Agave Nectar
- Lime Wheel
Directions:
Coat the rim of the glass with salt. Combine all ingredients over ice and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge.
This specific recipe uses Altos Tequila Plata, however I’ve tested it with Altos Reposado and the results are still killer.
