Super Hydrating Juice Recipe Made with Coconut Water by Chef Hugo Gutierrez

During a recent stay at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula PapagayoChef Hugo Gutierrez taught us how to make his super hydrating juice recipe. This was the first of many easy, healthy recipes chef taught us during our ‘Pura Vida For All’ wellness program. It’s a perfect way to hydrate before or after a day of activities.

Super Hydrating Juice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut water (recommended to use fresh coconut)
  • 1/4 bulb fresh ginger
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 cup ice

Directions:

Cut the whole lime into quarters, the ginger into big chunks, and place into blender. Add the coconut water and the rest of the ingredients, but only use half of the ice. The rest will be placed into glass when serving the drink. Pulse blend the ingredients so that the lime doesn’t turn bitter. Strain the drink into a pitcher and serve.
