Casio Edifice EFB730D Panda Chronograph Looks Like Far More Than $165

Casio's Edifice EFB730D pairs a panda dial, sapphire crystal, and 100m water resistance at a $165 list price, about $111 on Amazon.

Casio’s Edifice EFB730D is the panda-dial chronograph that keeps making a case for itself. The formula is simple: a 40mm stainless steel case, 11mm thick, with a silver sunray dial and black subdials in the classic 3-6-9 layout, under a flat sapphire crystal. It is a motorsport chronograph in the old sense, with a fixed bezel, screw-down crown and pushers, and 100 meters of water resistance on a stainless bracelet. The quartz chronograph measures to 60 minutes, with running seconds in the 6 o’clock subdial, a 24-hour indicator at 3, and the minute counter at 9. One quirk to know before buying: the big central seconds hand is a regular seconds hand, not the chronograph seconds, which live in the subdial instead. Dappered’s review calls it a B, great looks with an okay bracelet, and suggests a rally leather strap. The list price is $165 through Casio, and Dappered found it around $111 on Amazon.
