DJI‘s new Osmo Mobile 8P pushes the smartphone gimbal closer to a proper solo-creator rig. The headline upgrade is the Osmo FrameTap, a magnetic remote that pops off the handle and connects via Bluetooth at up to 10 meters, mirroring the camera feed on its own screen so you can frame, tap to track, and adjust the fill light from across the room.

Tracking gets a bump too with ActiveTrack 8.0, the second-gen Multifunctional Tracking Module 2 (now reading vehicles and landmarks alongside people and pets), and native Apple DockKit support for iPhone 12 and newer on iOS 18.5+. Three-axis stabilization, 360-degree pan, a built-in extension rod and tripod, and a 10-hour battery round it out. Pricing starts around $170 for the Standard Combo, with Advanced Tracking and Creator bundles climbing from there. U.S. buyers will need to import; FCC Covered List restrictions keep it off official American retail.
