Gray Whale Gin is introducing a one-of-a-kind tribute to the creativity and dedication of bartenders across the nation with the release of “The Shift Cocktail Book.” This intriguing collection is a testament to the resilience and innovation of the bartending community, especially during the challenging times of the pandemic.

During the lockdown period, Gray Whale Gin orchestrated an ingenious online program dubbed the “Virtual Shift.” This initiative saw the collaboration of 30 gifted bartenders from various parts of the country, who used their expertise and creativity to develop and share unique cocktail recipes on social media platforms.

“The Shift Cocktail Book” is a culmination of this venture, encompassing an array of stellar cocktail recipes, vibrant cocktail portraits, and invaluable mixology tips provided by these talented professionals. This book is your passport to a world of fascinating drink concoctions, perfect for any occasion – martinis, batched cocktails, highballs, sours, and ingenious twists on gin classics. It’s not just a cocktail guide, but an invitation to a Californian-inspired journey of mixology, infused with a spirit of wanderlust and the essence of the Golden State.

The Shift Cocktail Book

In addition to being a celebration of the bartending community and cocktail enthusiasts, “The Shift Cocktail Book” underscores Gray Whale Gin’s commitment to social responsibility. To commemorate the book’s publication, the gin brand is making a generous donation to the Restaurant Workers Community Foundation (RWCF). The RWCF is a renowned action and advocacy network dedicated to supporting restaurant workers across the country, providing financial relief and crucial social services that safeguard their physical and mental well-being.

This donation from Gray Whale Gin will be specifically used for financial relief initiatives and for providing essential social services to ensure the welfare of those in the restaurant industry. The RWCF’s work is all the more significant considering the recent pandemic, which has disproportionately impacted the hospitality industry. Visit restaurantworkerscf.org to learn more about their work and how you can contribute.
